Due to continued growth in our services, Community Care Trust Aotearoa is looking for Support Workers to join ourRIDSAS (Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Service) team in Dunedin | Ōtepoti.

We havefull-time, part-time and casual opportunities available.

Our services operate24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so flexibility across a range of shifts is important, includingavailability for at least one weekend shift.

As a Support Worker, you’ll build meaningful relationships and support people to develop life skills, work towards their goals and connect with their communities.

OurRIDSAS service provides 24/7 specialist rehabilitation support for people with intellectual disabilities who have high and complex needs and who have had contact with the justice system.

Our approach isperson-centred and strengths-based. We recognise that behaviour is a form of communication and support people with compassion, patience and trauma-informed practice.

We’re looking for people who arecalm, resilient, non-judgemental and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in helping others build confidence, independence and positive outcomes.

What we’re looking for | He aha ā mātou e rapu ana

• Afull, current New Zealand driver licence

• Eligibility to work in New Zealand

• Acurrent First Aid Certificate, or willingness to complete one at our cost

• Willingness to undergo vetting as part of our safeguarding commitment

• Availability to work regular weekend shifts

Experience indisability, mental health, justice or community support is an advantage, but not essential. Just as important is the right attitude, strong values and a genuine desire to make a difference.
