Prototyping Engineer

In this role you will be responsible fordesigning, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes setup, programming, testing, and implementation of computer control systems used for production automation and industrial equipment design.

        Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

• ManagePLCprogramtraceability,updates,andmodificationsforretrofittedequipment,ensuringsystemreliability,documentationaccuracy,andcompliancewithengineeringstandards.

• Leadrootcauseanalysisandimplementsustainablecorrectiveactionstoresolvechronicmachineissues,improveequipmentperformance,andpreventrecurrence.

• Supportmanufacturingandprocessengineeringinitiativesbyimprovingequipmentrobustness,implementingYokotenbestpractices,documentinglessonslearned,andbenchmarkingwithregionalandglobalfacilities.

• Coachanddevelopmaintenancetechniciansonnewtechnologies,controlsystems,andassemblyequipmentfunctions,whiletrackingperformanceandsupportingindividualdevelopmentplans.

• Driveoperationalandfinancialimprovementsbyreducingmaintenance-relatedcosts,supportingbudgetobjectives,andapplyingastructured,data-drivenapproachtoproblem-solvinganddecision-making.

     If you have/are:

• Bachelor’sdegreeinMechanical,Mechatronics,Robotics,ElectricalEngineering,orarelatedfield;Master’sdegreeorMBApreferred.

• StrongknowledgeofLeanManufacturing,SixSigma,CoreTools,GD&T,problem-solvingmethodologies,andqualitysystemssuchasIATF16949,ISO14001,andISO45001.

• Provenexperienceinprocessengineering,maintenance,automation,ormanufacturingengineeringroles,withpriorsupervisoryortechnicalteamleadershipexperiencepreferred.

• Advancedexpertiseinindustrialautomation,includingPLCandHMIprogramming(Siemens,Allen-Bradley,andOmron),servomotors,visionsystems,lasermarkingsystems,andelectrical,hydraulic,andmechanicalsystems.

• Ability to develop PLC and HMI programs from scratch,withexperiencesupportingautomatedmanufacturingequipment,visioninspectionsystems,andindustrialsewingtechnologies(JukiandBrothermachines)consideredastrongadvantage.
