Care Navigator - OnDemand Visit

Position Summary:

• Engage directly with EMTs or Paramedics on the scene of low acuity 911 calls to assess the situation and determine the appropriateness of a telehealth visit.
• Coordinate and facilitate seamless telehealth visits between on-scene crew members and medical group professionals, ensuring high-quality care and patient satisfaction.
• Operate computer, camera, and microphone equipment with proficiency to manage video visits and related documentation.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, patients, and emergency responders to ensure accurate information exchange and coordination of care.
• Work under a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously with high attention to detail and prioritization.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times, ensuring patient privacy and data security.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay abreast of best practices in telehealth and emergency medical coordination.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements: 

• Proven experience in a healthcare setting, telehealth, or emergency response coordination is highly desirable.
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot computer, camera, and microphone systems efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in emergency medical services, nursing, or related field is a plus.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, either days or nights, weekends, and holidays, according to a 2/3/2 rotating schedule.
• Must be able to report to the Puckett EMS Operations location in Austell, Georgia, as scheduled.
