JOB SUMMARY
The Car Manager is responsible for managing end-to-end vehicle operations, ensuring optimal fleet utilization, maintenance, safety, and customer satisfaction. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating vehicle servicing, maintaining compliance with regulations, and driving operational efficiency. The Car Manager ensures smooth daily operations while aligning with organizational goals and service standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Operational Management
Manages daily automotive operations including vehicle allocation, scheduling, inspections, and usage monitoring. Ensures vehicles are operational and ready for deployment.
Maintenance & Fleet Management
Coordinates preventive maintenance, servicing, and repairs. Maintains accurate records related to vehicle performance, insurance, fuel usage, and compliance documentation.
Staff Supervision
Supervises drivers, technicians, and support staff. Allocates responsibilities, tracks performance, provides guidance, and enforces safety and operational protocols.
Customer Service
Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing service issues promptly and professionally. Handles escalations and implements service improvement measures.
Financial & Inventory Control
Monitors operational costs, maintenance expenses, and inventory levels. Supports budgeting activities, vendor negotiations, and cost-optimization initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
Ensures adherence to transport laws, safety standards, insurance norms, and company policies. Promotes a safety-first culture across operations.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepares operational reports, dashboards, and compliance records. Ensures data accuracy for audits and internal reviews.
Collaboration
Works closely with internal teams including operations, finance, HR, and external vendors to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
Professionalism
Demonstrates leadership, accountability, and ethical conduct. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and supports organizational objectives.
