Position Overview

TheCanvasser Driverwill support a client-facing grassroots campaign focused on improving quality of life in Fresno by providing reliable transportation for field canvassers. This role is responsible for safely transporting team members to and from assigned canvassing locations, ensuring the team arrives on time and can carry out daily field operations efficiently.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, organized, and comfortable driving daily throughout Fresno and surrounding areas. Candidates must have a reliable vehicle, maintain valid auto insurance, and demonstrate professionalism while supporting the campaign and Street Level Strategy.

What You Will Achieve

Transportation & Field Support

• Transport Canvassers: Reliably drive team members to and from assigned canvassing locations.
• Maintain Punctuality: Ensure team members arrive at designated locations on time and are picked up as scheduled.
• Support Daily Operations: Coordinate transportation throughout scheduled shifts to help field teams operate efficiently.
• Prioritize Safety: Follow traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
• Maintain Vehicle Readiness: Keep the vehicle clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
• Communicate Effectively: Stay in contact with supervisors and team members regarding transportation, scheduling, and location updates.
• Represent the Company Professionally: Maintain a professional, respectful, and dependable presence while supporting campaign operations.

• Available to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.

Driver Requirements

Candidates must meet and maintain all of the following requirements:

• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Be able to drive daily during scheduled shifts.
• Reliably transport other canvassers to assigned canvassing locations.
• Have a reliable vehicle in good working condition with no significant cosmetic damage, missing panels, or commercial/taxi branding.
• Keep the vehicle interior clean and free from trash and unnecessary items.
• Maintain a four-door vehicle with individual seat belts for at least four people.
• Maintain adequate gas in the vehicle at all times.
• Ensure the vehicle has a functioning heater, air conditioner, and windows.
• Maintain current and valid auto insurance.

Schedule & Duration

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: 3 PM – 7 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Expectations:

• Weekend availability is required.
• Must maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
• Must work in person during scheduled shift hours, five days per week.
• Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Must be available to transport canvassers throughout assigned shifts.

Location

Fresno and surrounding areas.

Compensation & Benefits

• $22 per hour
• Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel between canvassing sites, in accordance with company policy.
