Lead Python Full-Stack Engineer

We’re looking for aLead Python Full-Stack Engineer to join our team in the Netherlands in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will work on building scalable, cloud-native applications with integrated AI/ML capabilities. You’ll combine deep expertise in Python backend development with solid frontend skills and hands-on experience implementing LLM-based solutions. This position involves delivering full-stack features end-to-end while applying engineering best practices in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Python-based backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI or Django
• Build responsive, user-focused frontend interfaces leveraging React.js and TypeScript
• Develop and integrate RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservices into cloud-native architectures
• Implement AI/ML features and LLM-based solutions in production systems
• Apply industry best practices: testing strategies, code reviews, CI/CD pipeline management
• Work within Microsoft Azure and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver full-stack features aligned with delivery goals
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions
• Ensure observability, performance tuning and cost optimization for deployed applications

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering with Python as the main language
• Strong backend development expertise using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks
• Proficiency in building frontends with React.js and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML solutions – including LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI) or LangChain
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions
• Solid understanding of microservices, REST API design and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience building RAG pipelines for AI/ML use cases
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Excellent communication and documentation skills in English

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure AI Foundry tools and GenAI-assisted development workflows
• Familiarity with Databricks, data engineering pipelines
• Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
• Understanding of MLOps and model operationalization frameworks
• Knowledge of additional relational DBs (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)
