Campus Support Grace Kids Director

The Campus Support Grace Kids Director provides leadership, vision, and support for the Grace Kids ministry across all Grace Church campuses, serving children from birth through 4th grade. This person supports and equips the Campus Grace Kids Directors by providing direction, developing resources and processes, fostering collaboration and alignment across campuses, and helping identify and address ministry needs.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive vision and direction for the Grace Kids across all Grace Church campuses
  • Represent Grace Kids in Campus Support ministry and church-wide decisions, events, and initiatives, helping ensure the ministry is represented well and aligned with the overall direction of Grace Church
  • Develop and improve processes for recruiting, training, evaluating, and appreciating Grace Kids volunteers at the campus level, and maintain these processes within the ministry manual
  • Collaborate with Campus Directors and volunteers to ensure theological direction and ministry content algin with the Grace belief statement and remain within the theological parameters established by the pastoral team
  • Collaborate with Campus Directors and volunteers in developing a complete weekend ministry package for Nursery, Grace Kids Jr., and Grace Kids Elementary
  • Collaborate with the Campus Directors and SBO (Summer Breakout) Volunteer Teams as they develop content to be used by all campuses each summer.
  • Provide leadership and support for content, campus alignment, and communication for all Campus Support and Campus events (Why Baptism, New Believer Class, Child Dedications, Trunk or Treat, Jingles and Jamies, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.)
  • Is this referring to campus director emails? If so, let’s re-word this. Example: Support Campus Directors in maintaining consistent communication with parents/guardians through weekly emails and with volunteers through monthly emails.
  • Meet regularly with the Grace Kids team to listen to feedback, encourage and support the team, brainstorm ideas, and identify and address ministry needs
  • Develop and manage the annual Ministry Plan and Budget, monitor spending, and ensure good stewardship of resources
  • Support and collaborate with Campus Directors to review and maintain the Campus Connections organizational chart 
  • Visit the campuses periodically to encourage and serve alongside leaders and volunteers, strengthen relationships, and help ensure alignment with the vision and ministry manual.
  • Provide leadership and support for training related to policies and practices that help ensure the safety and well-being of children in our care.
  • Collaborate with the Grace Students Team to ensure a seamless transition of kids from Grace Kids to G56
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team for all Grace Kids branding and professionally printed resources

Qualifications

Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Theologically mature
  • Minimum of 5 years ministry experience, Multi-site experience preferred
  • Effectively lead kids; direct or indirect
  • Outstanding communication, organizational and team building experience
  • Successfully built and managed teams
  • Proven Ministry experience in a leadership role
  • Strong relational skills, exhibiting Christ-like character in a friendly, calm and professional manner
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to recruit, develop, equip, and shepherd staff and volunteers
  • Ability to build effective systems and processes while managing multiple ministry areas, events, and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and other ministry teams to accomplish shared goals
