POSITION SUMMARY: Set-up, acquire and analyze sleep studies. Schedule patient if necessary. Send reports, organize charts, accurate documentation of testing and patient behavior and maintain good communication between physicians, patients and staff. Must be able to work independently and in team setting. Must be motivated to learn new skills and use them independently. Must be able to demonstrate skills and problem solve, must be open to new ideas and growth of department and skills.1.  Shallbe familiarwithandresponsible forcomplying with all guidelinesin regardto sleepstudies,acquisitionandscoring.
2.  Shall assistwith training andbe supportiveof newSleep Centerand/or Respiratory staffand shall assistco-workerswhen needed.
3.  Shall follow guidelines/policiesregardingcleaningequipment.
4.  Carry out physicianordersas wellas readsleeppatient chartsto keep currentwith the patients'conditionsand progress.
5.  Shallbe responsible formaintainingaccurateandcomplete records.
6.  Shallbe familiarwith allSleep Studypatient setups, identify sleep stages andbeableto score asleep study, explain and usetreatments forsleepapnea and expected results.
7.  Shallexhibit a professional,courteousand friendly mannerinany contactwithpatients,nursing staff, medical staffand co-workers.
8.  Obtain and maintain competencyin accessing anddocumentingpatient information in theautomatedpatient medicalrecordasdefinedbydepartmentalpolicies.
9. In accordancewith Hospital'sRevenueManagement and CDM policiesandprocedures:
Demonstrates proficiencywith timelinessofcharge entry and selectionof correctcharges forservices provided.Assuresthat the chargesentered areconsistentwith servicesprovided andsupportedbyappropriatedocumentation.
Whenassigned, assumes dailyreconciliationduties and servesasDepartment Revenue Leadand SubjectMatterExpert fordepartment'srevenuecapture, reconciliation anderrorcorrectionprocessesandprocedures.
10. Performsallother dutiesasassigned.
