Purpose: Camp SOTA 2026
Location: Norcross, GA (To be disclosed upon acceptance)
Dates: June 1–6
Time Commitment: Part-Time; 3-4 hr shifts per day scheduled (varies by assignment); must be available for assigned shifts and volunteer orientation

Position Overview

The Camp Experience Volunteer plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment for students attending CAMP SOTA. This position supports the overall success of camp by assisting with daily operations, coordinating activities, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for campers, instructors, and staff. Volunteers serve as ambassadors of the camp’s mission and contribute to a welcoming and well-organized atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general camp setup and takedown.

• Support the Camp Coordinator with administrative and logistical tasks.

• Provide assistance during classes and activities as needed.

• Help with the distribution of meals, snacks, and supplies.

• Ensure camp spaces remain clean, organized, and safe.

• Support student engagement under the guidance of camp leadership.

• Help manage transitions between activities throughout the day.

• Offer hospitality and directional assistance to students, families, and guests.

• Uphold camp policies, procedures, and safety standards.

• Represent CAMP SOTA with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 (or as required by camp policy).

• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions.

• Positive attitude with a willingness to serve in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing needs and assist where needed.

• Experience working with youth is preferred but not required.

• Alignment with the mission and values of CAMP SOTA.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Training & Requirements

• Attendance at a mandatory volunteer orientation.

• Completion of all required forms and waivers.

• A background check will be required.
