Call Center Specialist

JOB TITLE:Call Center Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Clinic Support Services

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

A nonexempt position responsible foranswering all incoming calls and direct calls to the proper department or personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Answer all calls in a friendly professional manner.
2. Determine the need of the caller and connect call to the correct person or extension.
3. Respond to emergency calls from doctors, hospitals and patients in accordance with established procedures/protocols.
4. Retrieve and deliver messages received by our afterhours voice mail system.

PAY RANGE: $20-25/hr to start (dependent upon experience)

Qualifications

EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology.

EXPERIENCE:Preferred: One-year experience on a switchboard preferred in a health care setting. Minimum: Customer service experience and knowledge of proper telephone etiquette.
