•Buildknowledgeofportoperations,logistics,andsupplychainactivitieswhilecontributingtomeaningfulcommunicationsprojects.

KeyResponsibilities

SupportandhelpmanageAPMTerminalsLosAngeles’socialmediapresenceacrossLinkedIn,Instagram,Facebook,TikTok,YouTube,andX.
•Createengagingshort-formcontent,includingvideos,graphics,andcaptionsthathighlightportoperations,sustainabilityinitiatives,workforcestories,andcommunitypartnerships.
•Captureon-sitecontentatPier400,includingterminalevents,tours,volunteeractivities,andday-in-the-lifeexperiences.
•Assistwithplanningandmaintainingaweeklysocialmediacontentcalendar,balancingscheduledcommunicationswithreal-timecontentopportunities.
•Engagewithonlineaudiencesbyrespondingtocommentsandmessagesprofessionallyandmonitoringindustry-relatedconversations.
•Trackandsummarizeperformancemetricssuchasengagement,reach,views,andfollowergrowthtosupportcontinuousimprovementofcontentstrategies.
•Supportadhoccommunicationsprojectsandcontributetoongoingprocessimprovementinitiativesasassigned.

WhatWeAreLookingFor

•Continuousimprovementmindset:wearelookingforsomeonewhobringsathoughtfulimprovementmindset,curiousabouthowworkgetsdoneandmotivatedtomakemeaningful,sustainableimprovementsovertime.
•Currentlyenrolledinanaccreditedbachelor’sdegreeprogram,preferablyinCommunications,Marketing,Journalism,DigitalMedia,PublicRelations,Business,orarelatedfield.
•EligibletoworkintheUnitedStates.
•Comfortableusingmajorsocialmediaplatforms,includingTikTok,Instagram,LinkedIn,Facebook,YouTube,andX.
•ExperiencewithcontentcreationtoolssuchasCapCut,Canva,AdobeCreativeSuite,orsimilarapplicationsispreferred.
•Strongwrittencommunicationskillswiththeabilitytoadapttoneandmessagingfordifferentaudiences.
•Basicunderstandingofsocialmediaanalytics,engagementmetrics,andcontentperformancemeasurement.
•Strongorganizationalskills,attentiontodetail,andtheabilitytofollowbrandguidelineswhileworkinginafast-pacedenvironment.
•Generalcomputerproficiency,includingMicrosoftOfficeorGoogleWorkspaceapplications.
•Interestinlearningaboutportoperations,sustainabilityinitiatives,globallogistics,andsupplychainoperations.

Work Schedule:Interns will work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. No overtime.
