Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive plastic interior and exterior trim components using UG NX (Siemens NX).
- Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and assemblies.
- Develop plastic components considering DFM, DFA, GD&T, and tooling feasibility.
- Design features such as ribs, bosses, dog houses, snap-fits, locators, clips, heat stakes, and screw bosses.
- Perform packaging studies, section analysis, and clash detection.
- Coordinate with CAE, tooling, manufacturing, and suppliers during product development.
- Ensure compliance with OEM design standards and customer specifications.
- Support engineering changes (ECN/ECR) and product release activities.
- Participate in design reviews and implement corrective actions.
