Buyer I - Sourcing

Job Summary

Our Oil & Gas client is seeking a Buyer to support procurement and supply chain activities by sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring timely delivery to support business operations. The Buyer will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve cost-effective, compliant, and efficient purchasing solutions while maintaining safety, quality, and operational excellence standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for materials, equipment, and services to support business operations.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, and evaluate bids to ensure best value.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with vendors.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet purchasing and project requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, and invoice discrepancies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, preferably in oil and gas or industrial environments.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP procurement systems.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• SCMP, CPSM, CPP, or other procurement certifications are considered an asset.
