Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Business Systems Specialist to support the firm's finance and operations platforms. This role will play a key part in
maintaining and enhancing systems critical to investment operations, treasury, and loan servicing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with platforms such as VPM, WSO (or similar loan servicing tools), and a strong understanding of treasury and collateral management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for finance and operations systems, including issue triage, resolution, and escalation
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations or enhancements
- Support testing and validation of new business use cases, upgrades, and patches
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and coordinating with external support teams
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and user guides
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Participate in platform upgrades, data migrations, and integration projects
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience supporting enterprise systems in a financial services environment
- Strong working knowledge of VPM and/or WSO (or equivalent loan servicing platforms)
- Familiarity with treasury management and collateral management systems is a plus
- Experience supporting finance, operations, or investment teams in a buy-side firm
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Skills
- Experience with system integration tools or scripting (e.g., SQL, Python, APIs)
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. Dynamics Customer Service)
- Understanding of fund accounting, cash management, and investment workflows
