Business System Analyst # 26-25497

Duration: 08 Months Contract
 
The Senior Business Analyst role is responsible for analyzing complex business and process needs, gathering and documenting requirements, and providing strategic recommendations for solutions that enhance organizational processes. The role works closely with business partners, technology teams, and project managers from concept through implementation to deliver impactful solutions and drive business growth.
 
Responsibilities

• Lead requirements management for multiple large-scale projects or program level initiatives, with high complexity, across the brand
• Drive stakeholder interview sessions to obtain desired outcomes, define scope, collect comprehensive data, aid in vendor evaluations, analyze business processes, and document requirements
• Serve as liaison between executive-level leaders, department heads, and external vendors to ensure solutions align with broader organizational objectives
• Create current and future state process maps and other visual diagrams to illustrate business processes and information flows, identify gaps, and recommend improvement opportunities in efficiency or automation
• Identify ambiguous problems, opportunities, and guide with thought leadership in strategic decision making
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, ensuring needs are met while balancing expectations
• Support development and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases of a project to ensure solutions meet expectations
• Provide post-implementation support during hypercare/warranty period, hindsighting, and project closure
• Build and deliver user guides and/or operating procedures for new systems or processes
• Stay ahead of industry innovations and any changes to business and functional capabilities to provide effective requirements elicitation and documentation
• Establish subject matter expertise (SME) across multiple functional and technical areas and provide mentorship to team members to help develop their skills and best approach
• Provide strategic input for Business Analysis team standards and defining continuous improvement opportunities across enterprise portfolio management processes
• As the office grows and transforms, responsibilities may vary pending the needs of the business

• Five (5) or more years of Business Analyst experience or similar role
• Experience working on large-scale projects or program workstreams involving cross-functional partners and external vendors
• Strong knowledge of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and solution design
• Demonstrate adaptability and knowledge for requirements management across waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies
• Must be highly organized, with meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Productive time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks by importance, due date, and interdependencies with other tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytic capabilities, with ability to quickly adapt to new situations as they arise
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with particular focus on influence and alignment
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, work well independently and within a team environment
• Thrive in a fast and dynamic environment, and balance contending priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft 365

• Technical or retail experience preferred
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Miro or equivalent experience
• Certifications in any of the following a plus: IIBA CCBA, CSM/PSM, BPM

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience
