Role Overview:

As aBusiness Operations Engineer, you sit at the intersection ofbusiness operations,data, andtechnology, ensuring that systems andautomation solutions run reliably and evolve with business needs. Your mission is to maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the modules deployed withinQOS, ensuring theirstability,performance, andsustainability.

This is a hands-on technical role focused onmaintaining production solutions,resolving incidents, and deliveringincremental enhancements. You combineprogramming skills with an understanding ofbusiness processes,automation, andAI-powered workflows.

Main responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the ongoingmaintenance andoperational reliability of existingQOS modules, ensuring theiravailability,stability, and correct functioning acrossbusiness processes.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolvebugs,incidents, andperformance issues, identifyingroot causes and implementingsustainable fixes to prevent recurring problems.

• Develop and implementsmall enhancements anditerative improvements based on operational feedback and evolving requirements.

• Monitor existingautomations,integrations,data pipelines, andAI-powered workflows to proactively identify failures and performance inefficiencies.

• Maintain and improveintegrations between internal systems, ensuring consistentdata flows and reliablecross-system automation.

• Maintaintechnical documentation,troubleshooting guides, andoperational runbooks.

• Collaborate withengineering team members andbusiness stakeholders to prioritize maintenance activities, assess improvement requests, and address technical challenges.

Main requirements:

• Proven experience insoftware engineering,automation engineering, or a similar technical role.

• Solid programming skills in at least one of the following:Java,JavaScript,TypeScript, orPython, alongside working knowledge ofSQL.

• Hands-on experiencemaintaining,debugging, andimproving production applications andautomated workflows.

• Practical familiarity withLLMs,AI agents, andagentic workflows, includingtroubleshooting AI-powered solutions.

• Practical understanding ofDevOps concepts, includingcontainerization (Docker),orchestration (Kubernetes), andCI/CD practices.

Soft skills – Level IC3:

• Problem-Solving: Independently identifies and resolves operational and technical issues within their area of responsibility.

• Ownership: Takes responsibility for systemreliability,maintenance, andcontinuous improvement.

• Collaboration: Works effectively withbusiness stakeholders and technical colleagues, communicating clearly and escalating complex issues appropriately.

• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies opportunities to optimize existing solutions and processes.

• Decision-Making: Makes sound technical decisions within established frameworks and aligns with team standards.

💰 Salary 

At Qualifyze, our salary ranges are transparent internally, and we aim to follow a similar approach externally. For this role, we’re happy to share a reference point within the band: the expected salary range is around35,000 – 40,000€, centered around the median.

Final compensation will depend on experience and performance during the process, with some flexibility within the range.
