We are seeking a Business Development Representative to play a key role in the growth of Ruby Analytics, a healthcare analytics and solutions company within Gemstone Holdings designed to transform how organizations measure performance, uncover insights, and drive better outcomes. Originally developed within Blue Cross of Idaho, Ruby was built to address a core industry challenge: static, retrospective reporting that limits an organization’s ability to continuously track and improve performance. Ruby replaces this with continuous measurement, key insights and benchmarking, and predictive analytics—enabling health plans and partners to monitor affordability and manage their portfolio of programs in near real time, identify cost drivers, and make data-informed decisions that improve performance and reduce total cost of care.
Â
As a Business Development Representative, you will drive business growth by identifying prospective clients, developing strategic relationships, and connecting organizations with the value of Ruby's product suite. You will serve as a key contributor in advancing opportunities through the sales pipeline while partnering with internal analytics, product, and leadership teams to position Ruby Analytics' unique capabilities in the marketplace.
We're looking for Business Development Representative with:
Experience:Â Three (3) years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or related client-facing roles
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sale, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)
Other:Â Travel and/or attend off-site or client-facing meetings during and outside of standard working hours
What a day would look like:
- Identifies and develops strategic business opportunities within targeted employer, payer, or partner segments.
- Conducts research and account planning to understand organizational priorities, business challenges, and potential use cases for products and solutions.

- Advances opportunities through defined stages (e.g., discovery, proposal, finalist) in partnership with stakeholders.
- Provides structured feedback to internal teams on market trends, client needs, and solution effectiveness.
- Updates and accurately maintains CRM with documentation of activities, call notes, pipeline, future tasks, and other required information to support overall sales plan.
- Supports development and refinement of go-to-market strategies, messaging, and value propositions.
- Participates in industry and client-facing activities to build awareness and credibility in the market.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
