Business Development Manager

Role Description

The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Baghdad. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across key sectors, building and maintaining relationships with merchants, partners, and stakeholders, and driving adoption of BeePay’s payment solutions.

Day-to-day activities include conducting market research, qualifying leads, preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating commercial terms, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with product, operations, and marketing teams to refine value propositions, support go-to-market initiatives, and ensure a smooth implementation experience for clients.

The role also involves monitoring performance metrics, gathering feedback from customers, and recommending improvements that strengthen BeePay’s position in the Iraqi digital payments ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with a track record of achieving growth targets.

• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or related technology sectors for 6+ years

• Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, and translate insights into actionable strategies and pitches.

• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with clear written and verbal communication.

• Comfort working with POS, payment gateways, and digital wallet solutions, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple opportunities, and follow structured sales processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees are an advantage.

• Fluency in Arabic and strong proficiency in English; familiarity with the Iraqi business landscape is highly beneficial.
