Role: Business Development Manager
Location: New York, NY- Hybrid (2,3 days/week onsite)
Duration: 12 months contract the possibility of conversion
Pay Rate: $100/hour - $110/hour w2 DOE
About the role:
- We are seeking a Product Business Development Manager to support the Family of Apps (FoA) Business Development team on a defined set of strategic partner initiatives.
- This role will contribute to the execution of business development strategy for Apps, supporting partnership solutions that address product problems and opportunities. This person will help manage large-scale partnerships, aligning solutions across product, partnerships, marketing, legal, finance and engineering, and will support negotiation and implementation of strategic partnerships.
- The ideal candidate brings solid experience in product partnerships, business development and cross-functional collaboration in technology. They apply deep subject matter expertise to problems that require conceptual thinking and an in-depth understanding of organizational objectives, and they have the judgment to define the right approach in situations where the path is not yet clear.
- This is an individual contributor role. We are looking for someone that will drive key partnership initiatives, contribute to strategy, and provide analysis and recommendations
Description:
- Execute partnership strategy to address product problems/opportunity in collaboration
- Negotiate long-term and/or test & learn partnerships with strategic partners & guide their implementation
- Support alignment of partnership solutions across multiple teams, accounting for downstream dependencies and future implications for the product roadmap
- Analyze markets, targets, trends and synthesize recommendations into actionable plans & strategy
- Track and report on measurable KPIs for deals in partnership with product, partnerships and finance
- Coordinate cross-functional working groups to drive decisions related to product partnerships, escalating where senior input is needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in tech, business development or a related field
- Subject matter expertise in technology, entertainment and product integrations
- Knowledge of social media, digital business models and internet/consumer technology
- Experience solving complex problems under tight timelines
- Skill in communication & consensus-building
- Experience building & presenting pitch & briefing materials
- BS or BA
Responsibilities:

- Experience working in matrixed organizations in a multi-disciplinary capacity
- Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with the experience learning quickly about new technologies
- Experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, highly ambiguous environment
- MBA or JD
Good to have skills:
- Experience in business development and negotiation. Proven deal-making background with experience handling zero-to-one custom deals with major tech platforms.
- A solid understanding of how big tech operates and the infrastructure used across large organizations.
- Experience working effectively across teams such as product, engineering, legal, operations, compliance, and marketing
