Openings: 2–3

Schedule: Approximately 15–20 hours per week; flexible around classes

Compensation: $15.00 per hour plus performance incentives

Reports to Vice President of Business Development

Position summary

Oteka Technologies is seeking 2–3 college interns to help identify construction projects early and build

relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, and other decision-makers. Interns will use

CoStar and other research resources to find projects in planning or development, introduce Oteka’s low-voltage services, and connect qualified prospects with our Business Development team. We provide

training, phone scripts, email templates, and ongoing guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Research planned and active construction projects in CoStar and other available sources.

• Identify project owners, developers, general contractors, decision-makers, timelines, and likely low-voltage needs.

• Make outbound calls and send approved introductory and follow-up emails.

• Ask qualifying questions about project status, procurement, bidding, and technology infrastructure

needs.

• Schedule qualified introductory meetings for Oteka’s Business Development team.

• Record project details, outreach activity, outcomes, and follow-up dates accurately in the company

tracking system.

• Review leads and outreach results with Oteka leadership each week.

Qualifications

• Current college student in business, marketing, real estate, construction management,

communications, or a related field; other majors are welcome.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional phone manner.

• Comfort with online research, learning new software, and organizing multiple follow-ups.

• Willingness to make cold calls, accept coaching, and handle rejection professionally.

• No prior professional sales or construction experience required.

What you will learn

Interns will learn how to research construction opportunities, reach business decision-makers, qualify

project leads, maintain a sales pipeline, and understand how a low-voltage contractor pursues commercial

projects. Strong performers may be considered for expanded responsibilities or future employment.

About Oteka Technologies

data center connectivity, and related low-voltage services for commercial, institutional, education, and large
