We are seeking a Business Analyst Consultant for a Workday implementation. The work will be primarily around Business Process Mapping with additional details as shown below.
Primary Responsibilities
- Understands the business drivers and expected business outcomes.
- Builds trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders.
- Defines approach and performs activities to "Client”, document, and prioritize stakeholder requirements for assigned module(s).
- Optimize current-state business processes, when possible, in future-state design.
- Collaborate to develop a Responsibilities Assignment Matrix (i.e., RACI).
- Collaborate to develop a stakeholder register.
- Collaborate with the vendor to identify application configuration requirements.
- Logs and follows-through to disposition risks, action items, issues, and decisions.
- Collaborates to develop use cases, scenarios, and test scripts.
- Documents and prioritizes defects and drives remediation efforts.
- Develops and submits status reports.
- Other duties as assigned
- B.S. or B.A. degree (4 year) (or Associates degree plus an additional 5 years' experience)
- Demonstrated competency with mapping Human Resource and Finance business processes that contain steps in and outside of systems
- 5+ years experience in working with multiple stakeholder groups to map, document and optimize business processes.
- Experience with interviewing stakeholders and workshops to extract accurate operational data.

- Experience as a Business Analyst in state, county, or city governments or non-profit sector
- Experience with Workday system (HCM and FIN)
- CBAP, PMI-PBA, or other business analysis certification
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other business process mapping framework or certification.
- Experience with MS Visio, or other software tools.
