Role Summary
This Technology Business Analyst is responsible for delivering solutions and enhancements for the Chorus (AWD) workflow platform, which supports Individual Investor, Fund Cash Operations, and Global Client Account Services processing. The role partners with business stakeholders, internal technology teams, and the platform's managed-service vendor to define business requirements, develop application and process specifications, and ensure work is prioritized based on business value and aligned with operational and technical strategy.
The successful candidate will analyze business processes, identify opportunities for workflow automation and operational improvement, translate business needs into technology solutions, and support the delivery of scalable workflow capabilities. Depending on the assignment, the role may have a dual reporting relationship to technology and business leadership and may support configuration and scripting activities within the Chorus (AWD) platform.

Responsibilities
- Articulate business needs and translate them into effective technology solutions.
- Define, analyze, and document business requirements for new and enhanced workflow capabilities, services, and processes.
- Partner with business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered.
- Create process, data mapping, and business rules documentation to support workflow solutions.
- Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for workflow automation, digitization, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Support Chorus (AWD) workflow changes by documenting current and future-state behavior, rules, and routing impacts.
- Support functional testing, workflow configuration, scripting, data configuration, content authoring, and other implementation activities as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 1+ years of total relevant work experience.
- Hands on experience working with relational databases, writing SQL queries, and performing data analysis.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technology solutions.
- Experience supporting workflow applications or business process platforms, preferably Chorus (AWD), including documenting workflow behavior, routing logic, business rules, or configuration impacts.
- Ability to translate business requests into clear Chorus (AWD) requirements, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation for development or vendor teams.
- Experience manually validating system changes by comparing expected workflow outcomes, system data, routing behavior, and exception scenarios.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, logic, and reasoning skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across business, technology, and vendor teams.
Preferred:
- Experience working with workflow automation or business process management platforms such as Chorus AWD, Appian, Pega, ServiceNow, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting Individual Investor, brokerage, client servicing, fund operations, financial services, or asset management functions.
- Knowledge of workflow design, business process optimization, business rules management, and operational automation.
- Experience working in Agile product delivery environments.
- Experience managing or coordinating vendor-delivered technology solutions.

$77,000.00 - $131,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers$84,500.00 - $144,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$96,500.00 - $164,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only onecomponent of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which isdetermined upon company and individual performance.
