Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Day-to-day responsibilities and key requirements for the contractor roles, emphasizing contract review, data analysis, collaboration, and communication skills, with Kathryn facilitating the discussion and clarifying details.
Primary duties as paper verification of contracts, ensuring contract details match internal systems, and booking contracts. The process involves reviewing PDF or paper contracts, checking customer name, price, and term, and reaching out to other teams if discrepancies are found. Each analyst is expected to process about 30-40 contracts per day.

Required Skills and Experience:
The team is seeking candidates with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency inExcel.
Experience in the energy industry, particularly in retail energy or power, is highly preferred.
Communication and collaboration skills are essential due to frequent interaction with other departments.

Preferred Technical Skills:
Experience with Salesforce is a nice-to-have, while most other systems used are in-house. The role involves some technical aspects, such as using a contract import system, but does not require highly technical expertise.

Candidate Background and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate profile, focusing on energy industry experience, relevant job titles, years of experience, and educational background, while addressing questions from suppliers and clarifying preferences.

Industry Experience Preference:
HM emphasized that energy industry experience, especially in retail energy or power, is highly preferred.
Candidates with experience in billing, payment operations, customer care, or analyst roles within the energy sector are considered suitable, even if they lack direct contract review experience.

Years of Experience:
The preferred range is two to three years of relevant experience.
Candidates with less than a year are less desirable, while there is no strict upper limit unless the candidate is highly technical and overqualified for the role's requirements.

Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma is required, and a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Relevant Job Titles:
Successful candidates in the past have held analyst roles or positions involving data analysis, customer care, or customer service within the energy industry. There is no strict requirement for a specific previous job title.

Interview Structure:
Interviews are conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams, typically lasting up to one hour. The process includes introductions, a job overview, questions using the STAR method, and time for candidate questions. No in-person interviews are required.
