Business Analyst (AI-Enabled Requirements Engineering)

Razor is seeking an experienced Business Analyst – AI-Enabled Requirements Engineering to support the analysis, documentation, and validation of functional and technical requirements for new and existing enterprise software applications. This role will work closely with product teams, developers, quality assurance teams, clients, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements.

The Business Analyst will leverage generative AI tools to streamline requirements development, identify gaps and dependencies, validate technical specifications, and improve software delivery processes. The ideal candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with technical knowledge of APIs, SQL, data integrations, and Agile software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, testers, clients, and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.

• Translate high-level business needs into detailed user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, and data requirements.

• Develop technical requirements covering system integrations, APIs, data mappings, and application workflows.

• Independently investigate production issues by reviewing system behavior, workflows, SQL queries, APIs, logs, and integration mappings before escalating to development teams.

• Use generative AI tools to accelerate requirements documentation, identify gaps, conflicts, dependencies, duplicates, assumptions, and missing edge cases.

• Perform cross-model validation of AI-generated requirements and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, pseudocode, API payload examples, and data mappings.

• Leverage AI-assisted techniques to review and validate SQL queries, API structures, and system integrations.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, requirements discussions, workshops, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and testing activities.

• Coordinate requirements and deliverables across multiple Scrum teams.

• Document meeting outcomes, action items, technical decisions, and outstanding requirements.

• Prepare status reports, presentations, user guides, help documentation, and other project delivery materials.

• Ensure all AI-generated content is independently reviewed for accuracy, security, privacy, and alignment with business requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role within an Agile software development environment.

• Demonstrated ability to develop detailed user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and comprehensive acceptance criteria.

• Experience independently analyzing requirements, business workflows, system behavior, integrations, and initial production issues.

• Working knowledge of APIs, JSON/XML, SQL, data mappings, system integrations, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Ability to develop technical user stories for API development and integration requirements.

• Experience identifying requirements gaps, conflicts, dependencies, assumptions, duplicates, and edge cases.

• Practical experience using generative AI tools for requirements analysis, documentation, validation, or software delivery.

• Ability to perform cross-model validation and critically evaluate AI-generated requirements and technical specifications.

• Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, QA teams, clients, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ability to distinguish confirmed facts from assumptions, hypotheses, and issues requiring additional technical investigation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a collaborative Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar requirements management and documentation tools.

• Experience validating REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or equivalent tools.

• Experience writing, reviewing, or validating SQL queries.

• Experience with system integrations, data migration, microservices, event-driven architectures, or legacy system modernization.

• Experience with test case design, automated testing, or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Experience developing reusable AI prompts, workflows, or quality gates to improve requirements engineering.

• Familiarity with multiple AI models and techniques for comparing and validating AI-generated outputs.

• Experience using AI to analyze legacy system behavior and map functionality to modern architectures, APIs, or service boundaries.

• Experience facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and stakeholder workshops.
