Business Analyst – Telecom Experience
Role Summary
Experienced Telecom Business Analyst with strong expertise inOracle BRM (Billing and Revenue Management) andDOC1 (Customer Communications Management). The role is responsible for bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams by eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements related to billing, invoicing, and customer communication systems within the telecom domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for telecom billing and invoicing systems
- Work closely with stakeholders (business, product, IT) to define BRM and DOC1 solutions
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories
- Support design and implementation of billing, rating, invoicing, and customer communication workflows
- Collaborate with development and QA teams during build and testing phases
- Assist in SIT/UAT planning, execution, and defect triaging
- Validate billing outputs, invoice formats, and customer communication templates
- Ensure compliance with telecom business processes and regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge ofOracle BRM (Billing and Revenue Management)
- Experience withDOC1 / OpenText Exstream (Customer Communication Management)
- Good understanding oftelecom BSS/OSS architecture
- Knowledge of billing concepts:rating, charging, invoicing, mediation
- Familiarity withSQL for data analysis and validation
- Understanding ofinvoice design, bill formatting, and document generation workflows
- Exposure toUnix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to translate complex technical details into business-friendly language
- Strong documentation skills (BRD, FRD, user stories)
- Good collaboration and teamwork capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines
- Attention to detail and quality focus
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in theTelecom domain
- Hands-on experience inOracle BRM implementations/support projects
- Experience incustomer communication/invoicing systems (DOC1 preferred)
- Strong exposure toend-to-end telecom billing lifecycle
- Experience working inAgile/Scrum environments preferred
- Prior experience working with telecom clients (e.g.,Rogers or similar) is an added advantage
