Procurement & Liaison Manager

Summary 

The Contract Manager will playan important role in the joint venture’sendeavour toestablish new ways of working onsite by overseeing contractual agreements,negotiations, and compliance. This role requiresa strong understanding of contract management principles, as well as the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that contractual obligations aremet and risks are mitigated effectively.  

Major duties/responsibilities 

• EPC contract management spanning multiple years that govern design, procurement,construction and commissioning phases of large infraprojects 

• Ensure contract enforcement on basis of the agreement with the EPC contractor.Ensure close collaboration, communication, alignment betweenthe partiesto ensure contractual alignment. (technical background is a prerequisite) 

• Risk Management on commercial (cost & schedule) and legal obligations andpossible liabilitiestowards the Project Directorto prepare and back up decisions.Ability to think ahead and prepare and support decisions. 

• Ensure stakeholder management encompassing the strategic ins and outs of managing internal stakeholders,partners and Contractor. 

• Ensure compliancy on legal and regulatory requirements and internalpolicies 

• Manage risk allocation related to EPC contracts on risks related to design changes, delays, cost overruns and quality control. Ability toallocate/communicate/spot liabilitiestimely andeffectively 

• Control expenditure through negotiations/ contract performance monitoring / identifying opportunities forsavings 

• Perform other related duties asassigned 

Your profile  

• Education requirement (Bachelor degreeinFinance or Business Management or equivalent 

• Number of years of experiencerequired is +15years 

• Prerequisite: knowledge of technical and commercial disciplines related to Oil & Gas development projects 

• Prerequisite: Exposure and experience in EPC environments, contracts knowledge and execution / follow-up thereof. 

• AdministrationandClaimsManagement 

• Geographic focusin Ruwais,Middle East isamust. 

• Solid conflict resolution experience, able to act as a mediator, can steer the directiontoachieve a mutually acceptable solution (to avoid costs and impact on business relationships) 

• Mandatory that the candidate has aproficiency in in the standard MS Office applications, as well as exposure to design aspects and knowledge of MS Projects 

Working conditions 

• Work requirementis to be physically on-site 5 days a week during workinghours 

• 5% of travel may berequired
