The Tipper Tie location in Glinde is a key innovation and production hub dedicated to deliveringadvanced closure and packaging solutions for the global food processing industry. At its core, the site specializes inhigh-performance clipping machines, consumables, and integrated automation systems designed to ensure product safety, consistency, and efficiency across applications such as meat, poultry, dairy, and plant-based products.

š About the Role
We are looking for aĀ hands-on Production Engineer / Mechanical EngineerĀ who will:
- Optimize and maintainĀ our existing production equipment and processes
- Design and update machine partsĀ and convert old / hand drawings into proper 3D models
- DriveĀ process improvements, automation and innovation projects
- Act as a technical bridge betweenĀ production, operations, quality and sales, ensuring our products and capabilities match market and customer needs
The role isĀ almost 100% on-site in Glinde, working very closely with operators and mechanics on the shop floor.
š§ What Youāll Do
In this role you are theĀ technical backbone of our clip productionĀ in Glinde. You turn old machines and hand drawings intoĀ modern, efficient, well-documented equipment. You spend your time where the action is āĀ directly in production with operators and mechanicsĀ ā and use your mechanical knowāhow and SolidWorks skills to improve machines, reduce waste, and prepare our site for the next generation of automation and products.
Typical daily toādoās
- Be on theĀ shop floor, talk with operators/mechanics, understand issues and ideas
- AnalyzeĀ downtime, scrap and bottlenecksĀ and define concrete improvement measures
- UseĀ SolidWorksĀ to model and updateĀ machine partsĀ and convert old/hand drawings
- Plan and supportĀ modifications and upgradesĀ of existing presses and equipment
- Evaluate and implementĀ automation/innovationĀ ideas with internal and external partners
- Align withĀ quality and salesĀ so that machine capabilities matchĀ customer and market needs
- Document changes and ensure thatĀ drawings and technical dataĀ are always up to date

- Have an engineering degree (or equivalent technical background), for example:Ā Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation / Electrical EngineeringĀ
- Located in or near Glinde
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery / production lines
- Strong experience with 3D CAD specifically SolidWorks (or similar)
- Ability to design and modify machine parts and assemblies
- Experience with production/industrial machinery (maintenance, improvement, or design)
- Able to analyze and improve production processes (productivity, quality, waste reduction, uptime)
- Fluent German (daily communication with operators, mechanics, and internal stakeholders)
š Nice to Have
Experience with:
- PressesĀ andĀ forming of aluminumĀ or similar metal-forming processes
- Automation / roboticsĀ and integration of such systems into production lines
- Project managementĀ with external engineering firms, machine suppliers, or automation partners
- Food processing / food packaging industryĀ (understanding of sector-specific requirements)
- Experience inĀ modernizing old machines and drawingsĀ (e.g., converting hand drawings to 3D models, upgrading legacy equipment)
- Exposure toĀ continuous improvementĀ methods (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma ā even at a basic level)
- Ability to supportĀ qualityĀ with simple fixtures or devices to speed up measurements and checks
