BSH (Bosch) Intern, Indirect Purchasing - Irvine, California

Job Purpose Statement

To perform tasks necessary to support the purchasing staff to source equipment and materials, to support operations, corporate, sales and marketing functions on a regional and global scale, while working to achieve the best overall cost and on-time project implementation.

Reporting Structure
Reports to Regional Commodity Buyer or Purchasing Manager

Job Functions

•    Support purchasing team in the day-to-day business on a regional level, including but not limited to cost comparison analysis, reviewing market data, supplier scouting, contract management, etc…
•    Support purchasing team on all-encompassing larger scope projects for entire department; IE – contract coverage deep-dive analysis, review and comparison of administrative details within our systems, etc…
•    Coordinates and possibly participates in meeting with suppliers / cross-functional teams.
•    Preparation of various reports or presentations, as requested.
•    Maintain documentation, per BSH signature and retention guideline
•    Supports execution of onsite operational PU tasks (e.g. KPI reporting, contract management)
•    Steers assigned categories based on defined KPIs to contribute to maximum purchasing success (Total Cost of Ownership)
•    Perform all other duties as assigned.
 

Job Qualification Requirements

Specific Knowledge 
•    Must be enrolled in Accredited College or University
•    Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products
•    Good Communication skills, including public speaking
•    Good computer skills, including data entry.
•    Ability to follow instructions required to perform assigned tasks.
•    Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
•    SAP Analytics, Tableau, PowerBI
•    BSH Systems (Measure Tracking Tool, Coupa, etc…)

Required Experience
Years of Experience    0-2 years

Specialization:  Must be enrolled in an Accredited College or University, preferably with a field of study in Business Administration (Required).
