Summary of the role:

Levi Strauss & Co. is looking for a detail‑orientedLead Analyst, Retail Accounting to support retail accounting operations and broader record‑to‑report (RTR) activities across the Americas. This role partners Retail Operations, Finance, and upstream teams to ensure accurate accounting, timely close, strong controls/SOX compliance, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate is analytical, hands‑on, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

About the role:

• Own and supportmonthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities for retail and general ledger areas (accruals, reclasses, and analysis).

• Prepare and reviewjournal entries, ensuring appropriate support, approvals, and compliance with accounting policies.

• Perform and reviewbalance sheet reconciliations (retail and corporate accounts), ensuring reconciling items are investigated and cleared in line withSOX/internal control requirements.

• Perform checks onretail cash variances (POS, deposits, bank matching) and supportbank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and driving timely resolution.

• AnalyzeP&L and balance sheet fluctuations, prepare variance commentary, and partner with stakeholders to explain results.

• Investigate and resolvereconciling items andclose variances (including clearing accounts as applicable) in partnership with upstream and downstream teams.

• Collaborate withRetail Operations, Finance, Shared Services, and global teams to resolve issues, align on timelines, and improve end‑to‑end processes.

• Supportinternal/external audits andSOX testing by providing documentation, walkthrough support, and timely responses to requests.

• Identify opportunities forprocess improvement, standardization, and automation (templates, reporting, system enhancements) to improve close accuracy and cycle time.

About you:

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) with 8+ years’ experience inRTR

• Strong understanding ofaccounting fundamentals,month‑end close, andRTR processes; exposure to retail cash/POS flows is a plus.

• Experience withSAP / S/4HANA (or similar large ERP) and a strong working knowledge ofGL, subledger integrations, andreporting

• AdvancedExcel skills; experience withPower BI (or similar tools) to build/maintain close and reconciliation reporting

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights for stakeholders

• Proven ability to thrive in adeadline‑driven environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive work to closure with minimal supervision

• Working knowledge ofinternal controls/SOX, audit support, and documentation standards

• Comfortable working acrossglobal time zones and collaborating with geographically distributed teams
