Senior Nuclear Engineer

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and perform complexthermal-hydraulic and neutronics calculations
• Independently verify and approveengineering calculations and safety analyses prepared by peers and junior engineers
• Provideexpert-level review of design basis documents, licensing submittals, and technical evaluations
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in analytical methods and modeling techniques
• Develop and maintain detailed models forreactor systems and accident scenarios
• Participate inpeer reviews and regulatory interactions as a technical authority
• Contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and proposing innovative solutions
• Adapt quickly to evolving project needs, regulatory changes, and emergent technical challenges

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in nuclear systems analysis, safety analysis, or reactor physics
• Proficiency with at least two of the following codes: TRACE, MELCOR, MCNP, VERA, SCALE, SERPENT
• Demonstrated experience performing and reviewing complex engineering calculations
• Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Department of Energy regulatory experience is preferred
