Provides hospital and affiliated facilities with processed materials and equipment by executing established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization. Maintains efficient flow of processing procedures, through appropriate case set-up, anticipation of health care provider requests and patient care needs.Performs tasks to decontaminate, prepare and package medical – surgical supplies. Unloads, sorts and picks up linen from semi-trailer and delivers to departments. Completes sterilization procedures, monitors processed storage and distribution of medical – surgical supplies to various areas.
EducationÂ
Minimum: High School diploma or equivalentÂ
Preferred: Sterile processing trainingÂ

Related ExperienceÂ
Minimum: Graduate of a sterile processing programÂ
One year of general work experienceÂ
Agreement to get certification in sterile processing within 1 year of hire Â
Â
Preferred: Certification in Central Sterile ProcessingÂ
Membership in Central Sterile Processing Professional OrganizationÂ
Â
Other Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesÂ
Minimum: Basic computer skillsÂ
Preferred: Familiar with Microsoft office programs     Â
80hrs per pp- 3p-1130p variable. on call
weekends and Holidays to be scheduled in accordance with CBA
