Position Details

Preferred Qualifications: Must be 16 years of age and have current certification in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR.

Required documents: Uploaded certifications for Lifeguarding and CPR/First Aid. 

Specific safety guidelines will be provided to employees, in accordance with state regulations. All individuals, including visitors, on campus are required to wear masks and follow appropriate CDC social distancing procedures at all times. Please note that employment as a Lifeguard is not able to be performed remotely. Employment and payment for hours worked will cease upon leaving campus.

Supervise all bathers/swimmers

Enforce pool rules for bathers/swimmers

Perform safety checks to ensure a safe facility

Monitor pool water chemistry, air and water temperature

Maintain current certification in Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR

Participate in in-service training for emergency procedures

The pool cannot be open without appropriate and qualified staffing. This includes use by Athletic teams, Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni

Requires special skills, knowledge, or abilities. Work entails general guidelines. Moderate level of work experience or knowledge is required (minimum 6 months).

Possess the knowledge and skills to perform independently with or without training. Person will have limited supervision. They will have some decision-making authority.
