We are currently looking for a Team Lead - Recreation to join our team of committed professionals. ThisPart-Time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario’sChippewa location in North Bay.
Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Recreational Programming & Community Engagement, the Team Lead - Recreation is responsible for supporting the planning and development of programs and services according to YMCA policies, procedures, and standards and ensuring participant satisfaction.Â

LOCATION: North BayÂ
RATE OF PAY: $ 19.23
HOURS: 10-20 Hours

Major Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to staff and families during the program delivery schedule
- Support the coordination and scheduling of activities, programs and special events
- Respond to inquiries regarding programs promptly
- Be a positive role model for all program participants and staff
- Provide leadership in staff onboarding, including orientation, training, and mentorship
- Ensure that all Association safety standards are met or exceeded
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed in a timely manner including attendance sheets & sign in/out
- Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization

Qualifications
- Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)*for education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES with their application
- Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a leadership role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Bilingualism in both official languages an asset
- Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check
