**The compensation range for this position is $60,300–$63,000 USD. Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Lindale, Texas, with one in-person workday per week**.
Mercy Ships is seeking an experienced Medical Supply Planner. In this role, you will be part of the Global Supply Chain Planning department. This department supports our hospital ships operating in Africa.
As a Supply Planner, you are responsible for planning the delivery of Medical Supplies to our Hospital ships serving in Africa. You monitor inventory levels and buffer targets across the supply chain and fulfilling customer special / annual order requests. You work closely with the Medical Demand Planners, a fellow Medical Supply Planner, and various departments within the Global Supply Chain.
The intensive coordination with departments at both the Dutch and U.S. offices, as well as with the ships themselves, makes this a dynamic role at the heart of the organization.
How You Will Contribute:
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Execute the replenishment of vessels by generating container orders using the Supply Planning Tools
• Aligning operational timelines with Procurement, Logistics and Warehouse departments.
• Monitor inventory health across ships, depots, and ad-hoc/non-inventory streams.
• Establishes, evaluates, and sets Safety Stock (SS) levels across the supply chain.
• Serves as a direct point of contact for customers regarding non-inventory special orders, custom requests, annual orders and ad-hoc operational needs.

Ideal Candidate:
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, enabling effective decision making and data driven decision making.
• Knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory management and supply chain analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/MRP planning systems.
• May require occasional domestic and international travel.

Education and/or Experience;
• Formal education in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning within an international environment.
• Experience in Medical context is preferred.
• Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training will be required within the first year. Or equivalent combination of experience and education.
