
Commercial Loan Officer 2
Position Summary:Â
The Senior Commercial Loan Officer originates and services a variety of commercial loans (conventional, SBA, construction, C&I) to includesome complex credits.Has substantial commercial lending knowledge andexperienced inparticipating in business development activities, cultivating existing relationships, while promoting and developing new relationships.Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Â Â
•    Operate with commercial lending authority asestablished by credit policy. Â
•    Through sales calls and relationship building, develops new business and   expands existing relationships aligned to production goals.Identifies banking needs, secures financial data for analysis, and makes proposals for new business.Reviews existing accountrelationship for opportunities to meetadditional needs with other products or services, makesproposals asappropriate. Â
•    Gather and evaluate documentation from applicants, structures, negotiates, and closes all types of commercial loans within established credit authority limits; oversees processing of commercial loan documents and file maintenance; coordinates collection activities; provides direction to loan servicing, collection, loan administration support staff and guide to less experienced commercial lenders; participates in loan approval process. Â
•    Maintain knowledge of commercial loan products and services as well as knowledge of the industries or market areas served. Â
•    Call on potential customers Â
•    Ensure commercial banking relationships are fully developed, including specific efforts to serve the retail banking needs of the members’ owners/management/associates by partnering with TDECU product leaders. Actively refers to other relevant products and divisions.Â
•    Develop andmanages a portfolio of commercial loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and maximize profitability to the credit union with minimal risk. Â
•    Review and approves portfolio maintenance and loan administration actionsin accordance with TDECU, Federal, State and NCUA policies. Â
•    Responsible for identification and evaluation of deteriorating loan situationsin order to recognize charge-off loans early and manage credit to minimizelosses. Handles follow-up,collections, or delinquent and problem loans asrequested. Â
•    Work in concert with internal and external analysts, underwriters, processors, legal counsel, and corporate credit review staff to ensure compliance with TDECU policies and procedures and federal, state, and NCUA regulations. Â

Minimum Qualifications:Â
Education:Bachelor’s degreein business, finance, management, or an equivalent mix of education and experience isrequired.Â
Experience:Â
•    Five or more years of experience with Proventrack record of originating loan volume of $12-25MM per year.  Experience with member/client service, analyzing business financial statements, assessing loan risk, and processing commercial loansrequired.Â
•    Experience with SBA and USDA loan program parameters is preferred Â
Â
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Â
•    Expert knowledge of commercial lending including construction, CRE and C&I.Â
•    Ability to work both remotely and collaboratively andmaintain efficiency in either environment.Â
•    Ability to exercise critical thinking skills, assess threats and propose solutions.Â
•    Consultative selling skills arerequired.Â
•    Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability toestablish and maintain professional communication within the team.Â
