Design Assurance Engineer

We are seekingaDesign Assurance Engineerto performmulti‑discipline quality reviews of design submissions,ensuringcompliance with standards, and coordination across disciplines prior to externalissues. The role provides a formal quality gate,prior to final issue to the customersupporting designassurance and drives continuous improvement inthe design delivery process. 

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work collaboratively withthedesign teams toensure thatmulti‑discipline design submission documents meetdesign and internal quality standards before external issuance. 

• Provide a systematic quality gate for all design stages (concept, preliminary, detailed, IFC, as-built),utilizing Autodesk Forma to capture andmanage closure ofall designissues. 

• Undertaketrend analysis activities toidentifyre-occurring issues with the aimtosupportcontinuous improvementandreduction of future occurrences. 

• Document Review – Participate in the quality workflow for all deliverables, checking for quality and full coordination within and between disciplineson all deliverables, models, PDFs,CAD and MS Office files.  

• Statutory Compliance –Withan understandingofthe lateststatutorystandards and codes,ensurethis is accurately representedin our basis of designreport and deliverables.  

• Formatting Checking –Ensure alignment to standard document control requirementsand document formatsuch as styles and fonts, naming conventions,creating and updatingadditional templatesas requiredto support consistency. 

• QA/QC Compliance– Ensuring all QC steps have been correctly implemented as per our defined QMS and qualityprocedures,reporting non-compliance to the Sector Quality Manager.  

• Data Management – Ensure projects are using the correct EDMS/CDE and data is stored/ managed correctly holistically across the project.  

• Lessons Learned – Regularly compile,analyze and report on lessons learnedto sector leadership,highlight commonissues andsupport thereduction through awareness/ communications and training. 

• Reporting –Provide regular and systematic reporting to SectorQualityManager on compliance acrossvarious fields to support trend analysis andimprovement initiatives. 

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical,Architecturalor related Engineeringdiscipline.  

• Minimum10 years experience inEngineeringDesign with exposure to QualityControl. 

• Knowledge ofQA/QC proceduresand compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 19650.  

• Proficiency in Autodesk,Bentley and MS Office products(e.g.,Civils3D, Revit,MicroStation,OpenFlows).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Knowledge of local design standards and codes. 

• Experience with document control systemssuch as Autodesk Docs, Aconex,Procore etc.  

• Ability to workacross many projects and submissions at the same time.  

• Strongattention to detail and organization skills. 

• Competent inreporting and trend analysis. 

• Profoundunderstanding of engineering drawings and design documentation.  

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
