Job Title:

EHS Water Program Leader

Summary:

In this high-impact role, you will collaborate closely with Operations and EHS leaders to shape the site's environmental future. You'll lead the development and execution of water permitting strategies that support both current operations and major growth initiatives, ensuring sustainable, compliant, and efficient site performance. This is a unique opportunity to influence critical projects, drive environmental stewardship, and make a lasting impact on the site's success.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Identify,leadandimplementallregulatoryrequirementsandbestmanagementpracticesasrequiredbythesiteSPDESpermitincludingallsampling,stormwater,toxicitytesting,wastewater treatment support and DMR preparation andsubmittal.

  • Manage, monitor and oversee other regulatory programs as assigned including ISO 14001, PBS, CBS, FIFRA, and SPCC.

  • Conduct, and/or manage, regulatory required inspections as applicable pursuant to assigned management system and regulatory programs.

  • Maintain management system and regulatory required documentation to support ISO and regulatory compliance programs.

  • Crosstrain others to assist in regulatory requirements and participate in reciprocal training.

  • Preparewater andCorps ofEngineerspermitapplications andnegotiate permit conditions for both existing site operations and future projects.

  • Maintainin-depthknowledgeofexistingandproposedwaterquality regulations.

  • Reviewdraftregulationsandanticipatefutureimpactsof emergingregulations.

  • Lead communicating the requirements and impacts of newregulationstoEnvironmentalandoperationsstaffpersonnel.

  • Provide regulatory interpretations and technical advice tooperations,engineering, andotherinternalcustomersusing effectivecommunicationstechniques.

  • Direct and review the work ofconsultants

  • Recommendimprovementsinprocesses,management systems,procedures,andoperatingequipmenttocomplywithenvironmental requirements.

  • Participate in industry associations, peer groups and other organizations to share and learn best practices, buildrelationships,addressproposedregulations, andpromote thecompany's interests.

  • Actasleadperson ortechnicalwater programsexpertandprovide leadership and technical advice to environmental and operations staff.

  • AspartofsiteEHSteam,participateinoverallsitecomplianceactivities, including spill reporting, audits and incidentinvestigations.

  • Participateinon-callrotationasRegulatoryReportingOfficerformakingspillreportingdeterminationsandcontactingregulatory agencies as required.

  • Completes Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The following arerequiredfor the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or EHS, and 5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must have knowledge of SPDES or NPDES compliance programs

  • Must have experience successfully implementing/maintaining state and federal environmental regulations in an industrial environment

  • Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills, including strong computer and presentation skills

  • Must have demonstrated excellent quantitative, analytical and decision-making skills

  • Must have demonstrated ability to organize, motivate and drive change; demonstrated attention to detail and project follow-through

  • 3+yearschemicalindustryexperiencepreferred

  • KnowledgeofEMScomputer-basedprogramsand/or electronicreporting environments.

  • Advanced degree or technical certifications

What We Offer:

Base Pay Range: $86,000 - $125,950

The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography. Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
