JobOverview
TheProject Manageris responsible for the overall direction and oversight of construction projects.Theyare responsible forinitial contact of new construction work orders whileremaining the point of contact for their existing clients’ construction needs. They createthe estimate and sell the project to the client. Theyare responsible for scheduling the crews, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the project they sold.
Responsibilities and Duties
Conduct walk-through withclient and possiblydesigner to discuss scope of work for all new construction projects. Developestimates for each.
Manage projects for clients with regular site visits,addressing concerns, andsellingadditional work.
Communicate and ensure subcontractors are completingassignedwork properly.
Generateas-builds through the construction process and hand them over to designers andultimately the client.
Work withManager of Logistics and Procurement to create schedules and staffing requirements to support them.
Maintain stock levels of routine materials andprocure special items as needed.
Maintain adherence to the proposed production schedule.
Review regular division reports for alignment withprofitability, sales, andrevenue goals. Adjust course as needed to support.
Confirm hours and materials used for billing accuracy in relation to down payment,percent of project complete, and final invoice.
Provide feedback toTeam Development Managerof performance and behavioral issues of staff on their projects and job sites.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local governing bodies according to industry standards.
Develop policies, procedures, and goals within thedepartment.
Maintain positiverelationships with vendors andsuppliers.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
At least 2years’ of applicable work experience preferably in the landscapeindustry
Demonstrate knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, applicable construction materials, and installation techniques.
Possess a strong ability to multi-task and exercise efficiencies in time management.
Superior interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and direct reports both verbally and written.
Beginner to intermediate skills with MS Office Suite.
Prior Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience, preferred.
Possess and maintain a valid drivers license. A CDL with Class A endorsement, preferred.
