Job Summary

Responsible for leading manufacturing, shipping, and warehouse operations to achieve safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost objectives. Provides leadership and direction to operational teams, develops organizational capability, drives continuous improvement, and partners with the Plant Manager to execute site goals and business objectives.

Essential Functions

·  Lead daily manufacturing, shipping, and material handling operations to achieve plant KPI objectives.

·  Manage staffing, resources, and departmental budgets to meet customer and business requirements.

·  Develop department managers, supervisors, and future leaders through coaching, training, and succession planning.

·  Drive safety performance and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and labor agreements.

·  Lead continuous improvement and WCO initiatives that improve quality, productivity, waste, and operational efficiency.

·  Establish performance expectations and hold teams accountable for results.

·  Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Human Resources to achieve plant objectives.

·  Ensure accuracy of production reporting, operational metrics, and inventory controls.

·  Support the Plant Manager in execution of site initiatives and provide leadership continuity when needed.

Job Qualifications

Required

·  Proven leadership experience managing large manufacturing operations and multi-department teams.

·  Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·  Ability to build effective teams and develop future leaders.

·  Proficiency with manufacturing, ERP, reporting, and Microsoft Office systems.

·  Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and all levels of the organization.

·  Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, safety programs, and operational performance management.

Preferred

·  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.

·  5-10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.

·  Experience in packaging, printing, converting, or other high-volume manufacturing environments.

·  Experience leading within a union manufacturing environment.

·  Lean Manufacturing, WCO, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience.

Environment

Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments. Regular presence on the production floor is required to support operations, employee development, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate manufacturing areas for extended periods and effectively utilize standard business software and reporting systems.

Grade 18: Salary $120,000 + depending on experience
