Role Overview:

TheBranch Launch Manager(BLM) is responsible for planning andexecuting the launch of Grameen America’s Los Angeles branch and ensuring itsoperational readiness. The BLM must be familiar with neighborhoodsand communitiesacross the GreaterLos Angeles area. Key responsibilities include conducting market surveys,identifying priority operating areas,buildingandleading a strong local team, and overseeing outreach, recruitment, and onboarding of new program members. The BLM willalso manage daily branch operations and the loan portfolio, ensure field staff perform effectively, achieve targets forenrollingclients who qualify for services, andfoster a culture of service excellence.

The BLM will participate in the Branch Manager Academy, -a four- to six-month immersive training program designed to accelerate the onboarding, assimilation, and learning of Grameen America’s operations and the field roles.

On-Site WorkRequirements:

The Branch Launch Manager must be physically present in thecommunity and/or branch office three to five days per week, depending onbranch requirements.Thisexpectation includes field-basedcommunitywork. On-site requirements maychange at the organization’s discretion. Based onGAI’s business priorities and staffingneeds, GAI reserves the right to reassignthe employee to another branch within a 30- to40-mile radius.

Leadership:

  • Direct,manage, coordinate, andexecute all day-to-daybranchoperations, meetings, and activities.
  • Recruit, hire, motivate, and lead talented team members to supportsuccessful branch launch and ongoing operations.
  • Provideclear direction and leadership to team members by setting objectives,delivering training, mentoring andcoaching employees, conducting performance reviews, andproviding ongoing feedback and communication.
  • Ensurethe team meetsexpectations for compliance,servicequality, performance, and professionalism.
  • Setbranchgoals andperformancetargets andtake responsibility forachieving them.

Relationship Management:

The Branch Launch Managerwillbuild strategic relationshipsthroughout the community to recruit and onboard new members. The BLM willalso ensure that the branch delivers strong customer service anda positive member experiencethat supports long-term membershipgrowth and retention.

  • Champions the launch andestablishment of field operations in Los Angeles,California, including identifyingthe target population, conducting outreach and marketing activities,andrecruiting newmembergroups into the program.
  • Conduct community outreachthat generates qualified prospective membersand supports program enrollment.

 

  • Support member retention andensure timelyloan renewals.
  • .Understands customer needs and resolves issues quickly and effectively.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. We’re a collaborative team, and sometimes that means stepping outside your usual scope to help with projects or priorities that advance our mission. As such, additional duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned as needed to meet team and organizational goals.

Financial Management:

  • Manage the branch’s loan portfolio growth and quality targets.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support thebranch’s short- and long-termportfolio growth and qualitygoals.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Experience launching or scaling community-based financial services, nonprofit programs, or branch operations in an underserved market is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree orat least five years of relevantprofessionalexperience required.
  • Two (2) plus years of managing a team.
  • Customer-oriented mindset, problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently.
  • Attentive to detail and organized.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage several tasks at one time.
  • Valid Driver’s license is required.
  • Familiarity withcommunities across Los Angeles County, includingPico-Union, Boyle Heights, and Long Beach.
