About the Role
We are seeking a Director, AI Business Enablement Strategist to lead AI adoption and value realization across the Infrastructure Platform. The Infrastructure Platform brings together the firm’s infrastructure functions — Enterprise Risk, Finance & Administration, Global Operations, Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, Technology, and shared enterprise services — with a mandate to turn complexity into clarity and speed into advantage so the firm can grow, adapt, and deliver for clients at scale. Artificial intelligence is central to that mandate.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director, AI Business Enablement Strategist will connect Infrastructure leadership, the platform’s Chief Product Owners, and the enterprise AI organization and develop a shared AI strategy and translating it into practical, scalable, and measurable business outcomes. The Director will work in close partnership with the Chief Product Owners, who connect business strategy and priorities to product roadmaps and delivery, forming a complementary virtual team that brings together business transformation, product management, technology, data, and change capabilities. Together, they will identify and prioritize high-value opportunities, redesign end-to-end workflows, sequence the portfolio, mobilize delivery, and ensure AI is embedded in the platform’s operating model and culture.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, operational execution, change leadership, product orientation, and AI fluency with a hands-on approach. They are comfortable taking a broad remit from concept through measurable impact, can build shared ownership across senior leaders and Product Owners, and have the judgment to listen, challenge constructively, clarify decisions, and follow through.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
AI Strategy, Product Partnership, and Business Alignment
- Gather stakeholder input and partner with the COO, Infrastructure Platform leaders, and Chief Product Owners to develop a shared AI strategy and coordinated roadmap for the platform, aligned with enterprise AI strategy, standards, and capabilities.
- Partner with Chief Product Owners and functional leaders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize end-to-end workflows and AI opportunities that advance strategic objectives, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Translate shared priorities into clear business outcomes, product roadmaps, investment cases, sequencing decisions, and ownership across business, product, technology, and enterprise AI teams.
- Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders and Chief Product Owners on where and how AI can meaningfully improve workflows, decision-making, service delivery, risk management, and operating efficiency.
- Create transparency across AI initiatives and product roadmaps, surfacing dependencies, resource constraints, and opportunities to standardize or scale while avoiding fragmented or duplicative effort.
- Shift priority focus initiatives from largely AI on to AI native solutions
AI Adoption and Business Enablement
- Drive consistent adoption of enterprise AI capabilities across all Infrastructure functions, tracking where adoption is accelerating and where additional support is required.
- Partner with Chief Product Owners, functional leaders, and delivery teams to redesign end-to-end workflows and integrate AI into core processes, controls, products, and team routines.
- Identify barriers to adoption and develop practical solutions that support sustainable behavior change.
- Establish and share best practices, implementation frameworks, and success stories that allow successful pilots to scale across the platform.
- Help leaders separate meaningful, value-driven AI adoption from low-impact experimentation.
Enterprise AI Partnership
- Act as Infrastructure’s primary liaison to the enterprise AI organization and the Head of Enterprise AI.
- Align Infrastructure’s AI priorities with enterprise capabilities, standards, tooling, governance and risk and controls frameworks.
- Coordinate the implementation of enterprise AI programs, models, and platforms within Infrastructure, securing sponsorship and driving execution readiness.
- Ensure enterprise responsible AI principles, governance requirements, and model lifecycle standards are understood and consistently applied across Infrastructure functions.
- Connect Infrastructure teams to enterprise AI resources, expertise, training, and infrastructure to accelerate delivery and reduce duplicated effort.
Portfolio Management and Value Realization
- Develop, maintain and help to prioritize a comprehensive portfolio view of AI initiatives across the Infrastructure Platform.
- Partner with leaders to define business cases, success measures, and key performance indicators for AI investments.
- Track adoption, productivity gains, cost efficiency, service quality, and risk reduction outcomes, ensuring efficiency gains are attributed and deliberately redeployed to higher-value work.
- Provide regular reporting and insight to the COO and Infrastructure leadership team on progress, outcomes, risks, and emerging opportunities.
- Promote disciplined evaluation of AI opportunities so investments align with strategic priorities and deliver demonstrable impact.
- Understand the inventory of self-developed utilities (SDUs) across the platform and align guardrails, efforts and best practices with the broader AI strategy and roadmap
Workforce Transformation and Change Leadership
- Partner with Human Resources and Infrastructure leaders to prepare the workforce for AI-enabled ways of working.
- Support AI literacy, training, capability development/upskilling, role evolution, and workforce planning efforts across the platform.
- Identify opportunities to redesign work, simplify processes, and shift capacity from lower-value activity toward higher-value work.
- Lead change management efforts that enable successful adoption at scale while maintaining engagement and accountability.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, responsible experimentation, and innovation.
Influence and Cross-Functional Leadership
- Participate in and facilitate leadership forums, working groups, and decision-making routines that advance the platform’s AI agenda.
- Build a trusted operating partnership with the platform’s Chief Product Owners and strong relationships across Infrastructure functions, Technology, the enterprise AI organization, and other key stakeholders.
- Influence outcomes across a complex, highly matrixed organization without direct authority.
- Communicate complex concepts clearly and practically to both technical and non-technical senior audiences.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the COO, CPOs and the Infrastructure leadership team on AI-enabled transformation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Significant experience leading large-scale business transformation, digital transformation, strategy, operating model, or business enablement initiatives with AI native workloads
- Strong understanding of generative AI, automation, and emerging agentic technologies, with the ability to translate technical capability into business outcomes.
- Demonstrated success driving organizational adoption of new technologies and ways of working at scale.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience partnering with senior executives, Product Owners, technology leaders, and cross-functional delivery teams.
- Proven ability to clarify roles and decision rights, build shared ownership, and drive outcomes through collaboration rather than direct authority.
- Strong analytical, communication, program leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to balance strategic perspective with pragmatic, hands-on execution.
- Experience working within a product operating model and partnering closely with Product Owners and centralized technology, data, digital, or AI organizations, including AI Centers of Excellence.
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI practices, model lifecycle management, and enterprise AI operating models.
- Background in management consulting, strategy, transformation, operations, or business management.
- Experience designing or leading enterprise-wide change management and adoption programs.
