Maintenance Driver/Operator - Laborer

Job Duties

1.Perform various laboring and equipment operating duties as assigned or directed, involving grading, sweeping, truck driving and related duties.

2.As assigned, operate hi-lift, backhoe, street sweeper, dump trucks and other vehicles to haul soil and rock, grade surfaces, remove snow, clean streets and related duties.

3.Work as hand-laborer or general laborer in various areas to pave, excavate, lay pipe and perform various duties. Also performs maintenance type of bricklaying and concrete work. Also, operate motorized hand equipment and similar equipment, and other hand tools as would relate to construction and maintenance jobs.

4.Detect and report any unusual conditions or equipment operation to supervisor and perform all duties in a satisfactory manner.

5.Perform other related duties as assigned or directed within the scope of responsibility.

6.The Borough of Waynesboro will train the individual in this position for a CDL Class B License.
