RESPONSIBILITES
-
Previous automotive paint experience is preferred.
-
Controls paint operation and equipment (including robots)
-
Monitor and maintain the process parameters ensuring production standards, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
-
Utilize the ‘wet layer inspection’ booths to inspect spay patterns, coverage, and to ensure paint quality.
-
Analyzes and corrects deviations in such a way that equipment OEE is improved.
-
Deploys paints standards during the production shift.
-
Starts and stops the paint line according to production plan and safety rules.
-
Checks quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures
-
Applies maintenance procedures for robots and all paint equipment (guns, atomizers, jigs…)
-
Minimizes stops of the paint line process.
-
Contributes to root cause analysis in the case of paint defects, collaborates with process team to set up action plan, and implement corrective actions within a timely manner.

Follows up and optimizes continuously paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, and solvents, rinsing solvents…)

May relieve fellow team members for their breaks.

Make all necessary preventive maintenance checks for paint equipment.

Keep equipment clean and dust free.
-
Follow standard procedures to ensure tasks are completed correctly.
-
Perform duties in a safe manner using all required personal protective equipment.

Support safety and quality policy by maintaining a neat and organized work area encouraging 5s through the cleanliness at the line.

Perform other duties or work in other areas as instructed to balance workloads or meet production needs.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to constantly stand and walk on metal grates, metal floors, and or concrete during 10-hour shift
-
2-years previous manufacturing experience, preferred
-
2 years paint application experience, preferred.
-
Understanding knowledge of proper spray patterns.
-
Ability to read and interpret work orders.
-
Ability to frequently lift 20-lbs individually to do what.
-
Ability to take supervision and follow all policies and procedures
-
Familiar with operating power tools
-
Attention to detail and good time management skills
-
Electrical or mechanical background in industrial and automated systems
-
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
-
Ability to constantly stand and walk on concrete floors wearing safety boots during 8-hour shift.
-
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
-
Ability to work in confined spaces.
-
Knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to a SAFETY-FIRST culture.
-
Flexibility to work weekends and nights for projects and respond to emergency maintenance situations when required.
