Manufacturing Production Operator – Hub Preparation (1st Shift)

Location: Carol Stream, IL 60188
Pay Rate: $18–$20/hour (pending confirmation)
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Operator to support production and material-handling activities at a manufacturing facility in Carol Stream, IL.

This position is responsible for preparing manufacturing components (hubs) through cleaning, sandblasting, and taping operations. The employee will also handle and move materials using a pallet jack and electric hoist.

The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely perform hands-on production work.

This is a temporary assignment with no planned conversion to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Component Preparation

• Prepare hubs and manufacturing components for production.

• Clean components according to established work instructions.

• Perform sandblasting operations as required.

• Apply tape to components according to production requirements.

• Inspect prepared components for cleanliness and proper preparation.

• Follow established manufacturing procedures and quality expectations.

• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process.

Material Handling

• Move and position materials within the production area.

• Operate a pallet jack to transport materials.

• Use an electric hoist to lift and position components.

• Safely handle manufacturing materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

• Follow established material-handling and equipment safety procedures.

Safety & Production Support

• Follow workplace safety guidelines and company procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Support daily production activities as assigned.

• Work cooperatively with other production team members.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with material handling in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to follow production instructions and safety procedures.

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

• Ability to perform hands-on manufacturing and production tasks.

• Dependability and ability to maintain a consistent work schedule.

• Ability to work the required 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience using an electric hoist.

• Experience operating overhead cranes or similar lifting equipment.

• Experience using a pallet jack.

• Previous sandblasting or surface preparation experience.

• Experience preparing or handling industrial components.
