Founded in 1947, Bingham Academy is a Christian international school in Addis Ababa serving students from Ethiopia, missionary, and international families. The school provides quality Christian education within a diverse, multicultural community and equips students of integrity to influence the world for God's glory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and deliver engaging, student centered Science/Physics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and the school's educational goals. 
• Prepare schemes of work, learning resources and assessments that monitor academic progress and support character development.
• Differentiate instruction to respond to varied learning needs, language backgrounds and levels of readiness.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. 
• Create a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom and manage it in a consistent, restorative and Christ-centered manner.
• Collaborate with colleagues, communicate with parents and contribute to meetings, professional development, chapel and wider school activities.

• Teach courses assigned by the secondary principal.
• Carry out all assigned duties with professionalism.
• Teach and serve in a broad range of responsibilities as requested by administration.
• Maintain personal teaching certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science, Education, or related field
• Teaching Certification/License
• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or A-Level Physics or Coordinated Science  (desired, but negotiable)
