This roleprovides customer service andis responsible for all billing aspects associated with Pediatrics Plus insurance billing including Medicaid billing, insurance billing, privatepay billing, and insurance accounts receivable

What you will do:
- Processes and bills insurance claims.Â
- Handles medical record requests from insurance companies.Â
- Reconciles payments received to payments posted in system.Â
- Provide excellent customer service over the phone to families andteam members.Â
- Explains insurance billing scenarios to families andteam members.
- Problem solves any inconsistencies with insurance billing. Â
- Works well in a team environment. Â
- Processes and reconciles insurance paper checks weekly.Â
- Calls insurance companies to obtain/maintain pre-certification for patient therapies.Â
- Enters andupdates data withindeTASO.Â
- Participates in one-on-one meetings withleader.Â
- Respondspositively to feedback concerning job performance. Â
- Communicates any needs or concerns withleadership. Â
- Maintains confidentiality and patient privacy to HIPAA standards.Â
- Upholds and incorporates the core values, mission, and philosophy of Pediatrics Plus into all job responsibilities. Â
- Displays an understanding of the leadership style of Pediatrics Plus. Â
- May perform other related and non-related duties, as assigned. Â

Education/ Certification:
- High School Diploma orequivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.Â
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting,required.Â

Skills/ Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.Â
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Â
- Computer skills which include a working knowledge of keyboarding, database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet software. Â
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.Â
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.Â
- Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.Â
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of families or team members of the company.Â
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Â
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Â
- Reports for work dressed appropriately andcomplies with company policiesregardingthedress code.Â
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.Â
- Ability to complete tasksin a timely manner.Â

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, theteam member isfrequently required toaccurately communicate information andideas so others will understand through sight and hearing.
