We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek / Majesco / Guidewire / Socotra / InsurePay Billing Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience in implementing and customizing Duck Creek Billing within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuration, development, integration, and support of billing solutions aligned with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure solutions within Duck Creek Billing.
- Customize billing workflows, invoicing, payment plans, commissions, and collections.
- Develop and maintain rating structures, billing schedules, and account structures.
- Configure billing rules, write-offs, dunning, and installment plans.
- Perform data mapping and support migration from legacy systems.
- Develop inbound/outbound integrations (APIs, web services, batch jobs).
- Work closely with business analysts and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve billing and reconciliation issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, integrations, and enhancements.
Technical Skills
- 6+ years of experience working with Duck Creek products / Guidewire / Majesco / Socotra.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Duck Creek / Guidewire / Majesco / Socotra Billing configuration
- Manuscripts, Rules, and Product Studio
- Billing workflows and lifecycle management
- Experience with:
- .NET / C#
- SQL Server (advanced queries, performance tuning)
- XML/XSLT
- Web services (REST/SOAP)
- Experience with batch processing and job scheduling.
- Knowledge of integration patterns between Billing and:
- Policy
- Claims
- External payment gateways
- Experience with source control tools (Azure DevOps, Git).
- Experience with:
- Duck Creek Policy integration
- Duck Creek Data Insights
- Experience in cloud deployments (Azure preferred).
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in data migration and billing conversion projects.
- Duck Creek certification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance.
- Knowledge of:
- Billing cycles
- Agency commissions
- Payment plans
- Installments and collections
- Refunds and adjustments
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance billing.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and in agile teams.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
