Summary
We are looking for a BOM Coordinator to join our Cell Engineering team within the Hardware Engineering organization. Your job will be to compile and manage detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) of the mechanical and electro-mechanical components of automation systems. This opportunity will expose you to a wide variety of engineering and execution teams within our organization, as well as leading-edge technologies in the automation and robotics industries.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed BOMs for robotic workcells, material handling equipment (lifts, turn tables, case tippers, pushers, etc.), conveyors, safety components, and other electro-mechanical components and devices.
- Create and process Engineering Change Requests (ECR) & Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) for robotic palletizing and de-palletizing cells, including drawing releases and changes to BOMs.
- Develop and maintain tools and calculators to assist in change management (tracking as designed vs. as built deviations, installation or manufacturing redlines, retrofits to existing installations).
- Work with cross-functional engineering & design teams to compile data to support BOM documentation, including third party equipment that is integrated into our cells, recommended spare parts (RSPL), etc.
- Support teams' efforts to release accurate project deliverables against established Stage Gate process.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years' experience creating and maintaining Bills of Material for large electro-mechanical assemblies and systems (up to 10 level BOM structure with thousands of unique sub-components and tens of thousands of lines).
- Experience with PLM systems such as TeamCenter required.
- Detail oriented and schedule driven.
- Ability to use Solidworks is a plus.
- Experience in Material Handling and/or Automation Systems a plus.
Other Considerations
- Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
