Bharat Banking:Geography Head - Gold Loan

The increasing income diversification, evolution of the tech stack, various government schemes to improve livelihoods, and integrating the country via roads and the internet have provided strong tailwinds to the rural and semi urban (RUSU) or   Bharat  markets. 

To better capitalize on the growth runway and  open the world of possibilities  for the Bharat customer, the bank has set up a separate  Bharat Bank  vertical. It is an amalgamation of products and geography, handling certain core products across the country and all the products in the RUSU branches.

The objective is to accelerate the growth journey by expanding distribution reach via branches, partnerships, and digital presence, creating tailored products and processes, and using the One Axis strategy to harness synergies in all parts of the Bank to deliver to the Bharat customer.

The Bank also continues to focus on growing the book profitably by enhancing productivity, improving operational efficiency to reduce cost, and containing risk by leveraging technology such as AI and ML & rigorous portfolio monitoring.

The Geography Head would be a leader of their geography, and responsible to mentor the team, create sales plans oversee sales objectives and analyze data to achieve the sales targets. He would also be responsible to develop relationships with internal stakeholders that would be instrumental in pushing the Gold Loan business

1.       Managing entire Gold Loan Sales and devising and implementing strategies for business improvement.

2.       Achievement of monthly fresh disbursement and book targets of the mapped territory

3.       To create new business relationships with channels and manage existing internal and external tie-ups to push Gold Loan business

4.       Prevention of Fraud Occurrence, and effectively complying with audit and compliance queries

5.       Conduct regular business reviews to ensure Sales numbers are on track and marketing activities are within budget

6.       Create monthly and quarterly plans with respect to budget provided and devise ways to achieve the same

7.       To control the attrition at different levels of on-roll staff and off-roll staff, and oversee necessary recruitment with the cooperation of RSMs and HR

8.       Prepare manpower requirement plan at the beginning of the year while covering all the assigned areas to maximize business from different areas

9.       To devise regional strategies to ensure team achieve benchmark productivity for both On-Roll and Off-Roll staff on Fresh business numbers

Optimal qualification for success on the job is:

•    Graduate / MBA with 15+ years of experience in Asset Finance

     Knowledge

1.       Good understanding of lending business specially pan India

2.       Good understanding of Micro/Small Business loan, Affordable housing or Small ticket LAP, , specially below 25 Lakh both secured and unsecured

          Skills
