The Event Marketing Manager is responsible for marketing all concerts, events, and family shows at venues managed or events hosted by VSG. They support the Sr. Director of Event & Hospitality Marketing and works closely with the CVO.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for concerts, events, venue initiatives, and special projects to maximize attendance, ticket revenue, audience engagement, and brand awareness. This includes media planning and buying, digital marketing, social media strategy, publicity, email marketing, promotional partnerships, campaign budgeting, and post-event settlement reporting.
- Serve as the marketing lead for assigned events, managing campaigns from announcement through post-event recap, including timelines, approvals, asset distribution, internal communications, and cross-departmental coordination.
- Oversee and maintain all event-related marketing calendars, production timelines, project management systems, and campaign workflows to ensure deadlines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications are executed efficiently.
- Manage and mentor Event Marketing staff, fellows, interns, contractors, and external vendors as assigned, providing leadership, coaching, training, and performance oversight.
- Lead the development, execution, and optimization of digital marketing initiatives including social media, email marketing, website content, digital advertising, influencer marketing, and audience engagement strategies.
- Oversee content planning and creation across social media, websites, email marketing, venue communications, and digital signage platforms, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage venue websites and digital platforms, ensuring event information, promotional content, ticketing links, premium hospitality offerings, and venue information remain current and accurate.
- Develop, implement, and maintain reporting processes for marketing performance, including website analytics, campaign tracking, UTM management, social media insights, email performance, industry reporting, and event recaps.
- Collaborate with promoters, tour representatives, artists, agencies, media partners, sponsorship partners, and internal stakeholders to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns and promotional opportunities.
- Oversee venue digital signage platforms, including IPTV systems, arena displays, back-of-house communications, event graphics, and show-day digital content execution.
- Coordinate creative asset development, approvals, and production with internal creative teams and external vendors, including ad mats, digital graphics, photography, video, signage, promotional materials, and branded content.
- Lead hospitality and artist relations initiatives related to concerts and events, including backstage amenities, artist and crew experiences, promotional activations, hospitality gifting, welcome programs, and other guest experience enhancements.
- Manage influencer, promotional, and community engagement programs to generate awareness, extend campaign reach, and create meaningful audience connections.
- Oversee photography, videography, and content capture efforts for concerts, events, venue initiatives, hospitality programs, and marketing campaigns, including photographer scheduling, asset selection, and content utilization.
- Serve as an on-site marketing representative for assigned events and venue initiatives, supporting event operations, artist and promoter relations, media activities, hospitality experiences, social media coverage, and guest engagement opportunities.
- Coordinate press conferences, publicity opportunities, interviews, media appearances, and other communications initiatives in partnership with public relations and communications teams.
- Work closely with ticketing, sales, partnerships, hospitality, operations, digital, and communications teams to align business objectives and maximize event performance and fan engagement.
- Assist with venue branding initiatives, naming rights programs, milestone celebrations, premium hospitality marketing, and special organizational projects as assigned.
- Participate in strategic planning, brainstorming, budgeting, and organizational initiatives while contributing innovative ideas and recommendations to support overall business goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with industry professionals, promoters, agents, media representatives, advertising partners, hospitality vendors, and community organizations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of marketing experience.
- Previous people management experience preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in accordance with deadlines.
- Experience with venue marketing, venue branding, and revenue reporting.
- Experience creating social and digital media content, as well as promotional and advertising content.
- Experience working in entertainment marketing and public relations.
- Exhibit good judgement and make sound decisions.
- Ability to think creatively and communicate clearly in a professional manner verbally and written.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure with attention to detail.
- Ability to relate to a diverse customer and employee base.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva and Outlook.
- Proficiency in social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, X, Tik Tok, and Instagram.
- Knowledge or previous work in programs such as Workzone, Airtable, Box, TM1 is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distractingÂ
- This is an onsite role split between Benchmark International Arena and the Yuengling Center; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.Â
- Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as neededÂ
- Ability to lift/carry/move up to 25lbsÂ
- Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperaturesÂ
- Ability to commute to various venues throughout the Greater Tampa Bay AreaÂ
- Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or peopleÂ
- Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limited to: haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restrictionÂ
